The Giving Tree Program is a collaborative initiative between Teach, Educate, Opportunity (TEO) and partner schools to support students and families facing financial hardship. Designed for families who qualify for need-based assistance programs such as Free or Reduced Lunch or similar aid, the program removes basic barriers to learning by providing essential resources at no cost.
Through this collaboration, over 300 free supply packages are distributed to students and families in need. These packages include food supplies, hygiene essentials, and school materials to ensure students are supported both at home and in the classroom. In addition to material support, students and families gain access to free academic resources through TEO, including college preparation, SAT/ACT support, and AP guidance led by student mentors from top universities.
By working directly with schools to identify need and coordinate distribution, the Giving Tree Program combines material assistance with educational opportunity, ensuring students receive comprehensive support that helps them succeed inside and outside the classroom.

There is a pressing issue with nitrogen pollution caused by stormwater runoff in Long Island, New York, which results in ecological dead zones, algal blooms, and ozone depletion. To address this issue, we will implement rain gardens in local public areas. Rain gardens are areas of plantings that collect rainwater, which can heavily reduce stormwater runoff, mitigate flooding, and lower nitrogen rates by 40%. In addition to filtering out pollutants such as nitrates, rain gardens are also pollinator-friendly, low-maintenance, and extremely cost-effective—only costing an average of $3.50 per square foot. With a visually appealing solution filled with productive vegetation, we can promote a clean culture within our community and ultimately inspire a new generation of environmentally aware individuals to take action in our battle with climate change
More information will be provided as passion project example.
