Beta has multiple regional, state, national representatives that help plan and facilitate each convention throughout the states. The most common of these are Regional Leadership Representatives who are interviewed at Leadership Summits. Next are State Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Secretaries who are voted in during State Convention (more on that later). Lastly during National Convention the Regional Leadership Representatives will be interviewed again to choose 3 National Ambassadors while the State Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Secretaries will be voted on again to choose the National President, Vice President, and Secretary.
Only one candidate from each school may be allowed to run for one of these positions and they must be either a sophomore or junior.
Candidates are expected to campaign throughout the convention however you are also allowed to begin campaigning beforehand. Campaigns generally consist of matching shirts with your school and creating a catchy or memorable slogan. Candidates will rehearse and memorize a speech that may not surpass 2 minutes which they will then recite on stage during the last of Beta's General Sessions. Schools will also be required to act out a campaign skit that may not surpass 1 minute (with an additional minute for set up and another minute for tear down). Candidates will be required to sit with the other candidates during the General Sessions.

Before State Convention
You will likely need to run against other Beta members of your local chapter to be the school's candidate
You will create your slogan and campaign identity
(OPTIONAL) Many students choose to begin their campaigns by creating social media accounts advertising themselves
Your club will plan and rehearse a campaign skit
During State Convention
You will begin campaigning, generally by speaking to groups of people (You must remain in dress code throughout the Convention)
You will attend a meeting with the other candidates for your position, the current position holder, and some State directors.
On the last day of convention you will perform your speech and your school will perform the skit immediately after you finish
While the skit is going you will be asked to pick a random question from a bowl which you will then answer immediately after the skit has finished and return to your seat
After all candidates for all 3 positions have gone through, voting will open and you may continue campaigning until the Final General Session in the afternoon
The winners will be announced during the Final General Session
If you make it past the State level then you will be given the chance to campaign again on the National level. Since you have already created a successful campaign the next section will simply focus on what has changed.
